A super light, Hooped Bivy that is designed for climbers. Bibler's hoop is a Delrin rod sewn into the sack, so there is nothing to set up and no parts to lose.
Made of the same waterproof and breathable ToddTex laminate as used in all Bibler Tents, these bivy sacks collect less condensation than any other bivy bag sold in the U.S. All of the seams are factory seam taped.
The floor is coated nylon taffeta, with a slightly tapered foot section for efficiency. Both the foot and head ends of the Hooped Bivy are boxed, so they won't cramp your toes or compress sleeping bag loft.
The double storm flap and rain gutter have no sewn seams, so they can't leak. The dual slider zipper opens in the middle for adjustable ventilation and the opening is also covered by zippered no-see-um mosquito netting.
At 22 ounces, this durable, stormproof shelter is ideal insurance for that wall or alpine bivy. The Big Wall bivy has a waterproof, welded, fabric-covered Spectra® runner sewn in the side for tie-ins. Measures 90in x 35in (long version is 99in x 35in) and comes with a stuff sack. Completely factory seam taped.

THIS BIVY SAC IS ONE OF THE BEST OUT THERE. IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT AND CAN KEEP RAIN OUT EVEN IN KODIAK WHICH IS A RAIN FOREST. I THINK THAT ANYONE WHO LOVES THE OUTDOORS, AND TRAVELS IN ROUGH TERRIAN SHOULD OWN ONE IT'S THE BEST. THIS WAY YOU DON'T HAVE TO ALWAYS LUG AROUNT A TENT AND ALL OF IT'S STUFF.

Best, only if you take good care of it. Keep it clean and do not throw it around.
It kept my dry in a tropical downpoor, although the hoop closure is not the best for such use. As for its intended use - by far the best bivy sack around.

Big enough for 2 in an emergency-great for an unplanned bivvy during a summit attempt. The hoop does deform after storage, but it still keeps the bag off your face. Fleeced surface disperses condensation inside.

I am a wildeness rescue paramedic by profession. Often I participate in missions in harsh alpine weather. The Bibler bigwall bivi is a essential part of my personal survival gear. I know I will be sheltered from wet and windy conditions. I find that a good snow shelter along with the Bibler big wall provides an excellent shelter combo with excellent weight efficiency.

Summary:
Purchased the Bibler bivy for solo, lightweight camping. It has performed very well with no leakage. It is rather roomy with space for stuffing clothes or boot liners in to keep them warm or dry them out. Weightwise it is great. Condensation isn't much of a problem, though obviously your sleeping bag will be a little damper than without any bivy bag. The delrin rod in the hood, unfortunately, does a poor job of keeping the bag off your face and tends to deform when stored. This is the only model with the built in spectra webbing for tieing into an anchor without opening your bag. The problem with the delrin rod costs it a star.

Summary:
I purchased this model mainly for lightweight backpacking/mountaineering. It has never leaked. The internal size is not only accomodates my XL frame but has room to spare for stashing gear to dry/stay warm. The big wall model has a built in spectra loop that allows the user to clip their harness into an anchor without having to open the bivy bag. The loop is sealed so it is also waterproof. It also has a bug mesh screen that zips across the opening.
The biggest con to it is that the delrin rod over the face does a poor job of keeping the bag off of your face. It also has a tendancy to deform when folded up for packing. I purchased this before the tripod version came out, though this is the only version with the anchoring capability. Because of this annoyance I gave it 4 stars for value instead of 5.
It is very light though and compared to carrying a tent for a short trip or for insurance reasons it is a great item.

Far
and beyond any other bivy out there. This sack has held up very well
under tons of usage. The only thing failing on it is the coated floor
of the bag; it's wearing off.
The mosquito netting included is a must in the Northwest!
