Miscellaneous doesn't mean unnecessary. In fact, it could even be essential depending on the situation. An insect repellent is essential in summer in many parts of the world. Duct tape is certainly an essential (at least for me) and so is the first aid kit. I just decided to put them here. Maybe I'll put them in their well deserved category one day but not today.
